DawnBIT’s IoT Journey
DawnBIT’s IoT journey began with the design and delivery of a large-scale IoT platform for one of the world’s leading telecom service providers, leveraging technologies such as LoRa, GSM, and BLE beacons. The platform supported diverse, real-world use cases including safety wearables, resource and asset tracking, smart metering, smart lighting, fleet tracking, and crane management—demonstrating DawnBIT’s ability to build secure, scalable, and mission-critical IoT solutions.
Building on this foundation, DawnBIT integrated its IoT expertise with IBM Maximo Application Suite to enable condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and asset intelligence. Through close partnership with IBM, DawnBIT has developed multiple Industry 4.0 accelerators that combine IoT sensors, drones, cameras, and edge analytics with Maximo workflows.
Key solutions include automated inspections for linear assets such as rail tracks, gas pipelines, and electrical lines, as well as smart agriculture use cases. These accelerators transform field data into actionable insights, helping organizations improve safety, reduce downtime, and move from reactive to predictive and automated operations.

This application has been developed to control, monitor and configure individual lights and provide reporting and analytics on the data sent by lights.
